Psssst…Thanksgiving’s Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! I know this might come as a shock but that’s what I’m here for, to remind you…thaw the turkey. You're welcome.

Since I’m rushing around getting the sweet potato dish made, slicing Brussels sprouts, and still shopping for forgotten items – I’m making this blog short and sweet.

Thank you, dear readers for reading these weekly posts. You are the ones who keep me going, keep me honest, keep me excited about the work that I do. Gratitude is at the heart of “Inspiring Generosity.” I am so grateful for you.

If you are in need of a Thanksgiving prayer for the big day, you can re-create one of my all-time favorite movie scenes from “Meet the Parents.” Watch as Greg (Ben Stiller) says his first out-loud prayer as a guest in front of his potential in-laws. It’s classic.

If you want a reason to pull your hankie out – listen to The Highwaywomen sing, Crowded Table.

May you be blessed to be around a crowded table tomorrow – and if you’re not at a crowded table, may your memories of tables from days gone by be a blessing to you.

Happy Thanksgiving!

P.S. Black Friday special – no need to go to the store! My annual Christmas gift to you: Send me a draft of your church’s Christmas/Year End letter. I’ll take a look at it and give you some friendly feedback.
